Sylvion Moss graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1990 and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia in 1998. After serving as a law clerk at the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Virginia, Sylvion joined Hazel & Thomas, P.C. and then the Prince William, Virginia office of Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley, Emrich & Terpak, P.C., where she practiced in the firm’s land use litigation and business transactions groups until relocating to Birmingham, Alabama. Sylvion was a partner at a Birmingham-based boutique real estate and business firm until early 2019, when she started Law Works, LLC and joined Red Mountain Law Group.

Since 1998, Sylvion has focused her practice on real estate matters (transactions and litigation) and corporate transactional work. She practices extensively in quiet title litigation, particularly involving tax sales and tax deeds, and in real property disputes. Sylvion provides legal counsel to small and mid-size businesses, guiding them from formation through growth and development. Sylvion is an active member of the Alabama State Bar and an associate member of the State Bar of the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association (BBA), where she serves as chair of the programs committee of the Women Lawyers Section (WLS) and is a past co-chair and member of the BBA Scholarship Committee. She was awarded the WLS Distinguished Service Award for 2017-2018. Sylvion is past president and current Advisory Board member of The Charity League of Birmingham and has served on the Board of Directors of Magic City Cycle Chix, a non-profit organization. In 1994 Sylvion traveled to Argentina and Uruguay as a delegate to the American Council of Young Political Leaders. She spends her non-working moments with her two teenagers, traveling, spending time outdoors, and practicing yoga.
